Site boss Darren Mann, 44, from Suffolk said the number of sightings has stayed consistently high over the past two decades.
He added: “I’ve had police officers reporting ghosts in their stations, bizarre beasts stalking through woodland, staff bumping into strange shadow people in shops and more.
“Many of these ‘paranormal’ events become the new ‘normal’ for some witnesses.”
Ahead of a chilling week of paranormal programmes on TV channel Really, we’ve opened up the archives of The Paranormal Database website to create one of the most extensive ever paranormal maps of Britain.
The website contains almost 12,000 reports of paranormal activity recorded at sites England, Scotland, Wales, Ireland and the Channel Islands since 1999

Damian Green sacked after 'misleading statements' on porn claims

Damian Green , one of Theresa May's closest allies, has been sacked from the cabinet after an inquiry found he had breached the ministerial code. He was "asked to quit" after he was found to have made "inaccurate and misleading" statements over what he knew about claims pornography was found on his office computer in 2008.
